Mack Park Soccer Fields & Roberts Baseball Complex
This City of Denton sports facilities have almost everything a casual athlete could want. At the Mack Park Soccer Fields & Roberts Baseball Complex, you’ll find soccer and baseball fields, as the name suggests. It has one adult and two youth baseball fields, plus two soccer fields, and all of them have nighttime lighting. The facility also has a bike polo court, basketball courts, and multi-use courts. Bleachers, concessions stands, restrooms, and water fountains are available.
Families who visit the complex will love the playground, shade structures, and nighttime security lighting. You’ll find picnic tables, pavilions, and grills as well, making it a great choice for a family picnic or small gathering.

Denton Natatorium
The Denton Natatorium is a public indoor pool also used by the Denton Independent School District. The natatorium has a competition pool and a leisure pool offering open swimming, aquatic exercise classes, and group and private swimming classes. The facility also has a diving board and a slide. This pool is a great option for Denton residents who want the benefits of swimming year-round. Feel free to swim laps in the pool or attend one of the aquatic exercise classes, which welcomes anyone 16 and up.
Swimming classes are available for children based on age and level. Adult swimming classes are available as well, and all classes are offered year-round. You can swim at the natatorium by buying a membership or a punch pass that allows you access to the pool and water aerobics classes.

Lone Star Events and Sports
For all things hockey and skating in Denton, Lone Star Events and Sports is the place to visit. This facility hosts public and private roller skating, a hockey league, and roller derby. Attend a public skating event for $5 admission and $5 rentals. Public skating is available on Fridays and Saturdays. The hours change depending on the day and season, and extra skating days are added in summer. Private skating parties are also available for booking. A roller derby training program is available by enrollment.
Pick-up games of hockey and soccer are both available seasonally at this sports facility, and games are divided based on age and skill level. If you’d rather watch than skate, make sure to catch one of the hockey league games during hockey season.

Denton Civic Center Pool
Denton’s Civic Center Pool is a city-run outdoor pool facility that’s open from May through August. This family-friendly pool is inexpensive to visit and offers a place for leisurely swims and to have a great time splashing about with the kids. You can pay per visit or buy a season pass. Children 17 and under get a discount, and ages two and under are free.
The Civic Center Pool is available for birthday party rentals and private rentals after hours. You can also sign up for swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels.

Evers Baseball Complex
Evers Baseball Complex is another city-run facility in Denton. The complex is geared towards youth sports, with 11 youth baseball fields available, complete with bleachers and concession stands. Youth softball and baseball teams have games here during the season, and family and friends love to come out to support Denton’s kids.
The complex is family-friendly, with a playground, picnic tables, water fountains, a pavilion, and restrooms. Shade structures will keep you cool while you visit, and if you happen to be attending a night game, security lighting keeps everyone feeling safe.

Goldfield Tennis Center
If you want to play tennis, the City of Denton’s Goldfield Tennis Center is a great place to go. The outdoor courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the city asks that no more than four people play on a court. At dusk, court lights turn on until 9 p.m. or 10 p.m., depending on the court. The clubhouse is currently closed to the public, so bring your own balls and rackets.
You can also learn to play tennis at the Goldfield Tennis Center. You can sign up for weekly classes or schedule a private or semi-private lesson with a USTPA-certified certified instructor.

Southridge Recreation Club
Cool off during the hot Texas summer by becoming a member at the Southridge Recreation Club. This pool facility opens mid-May and closes at the beginning of October, giving you almost five months of outdoor water fun. Two pools are available for swimming, and there’s a separate toddler pool for families with small children. The property also has a covered gazebo with a grill, a covered picnic area, and a playground.
The pool is available to rent for private pool parties, and every few weeks, the Southridge Recreation Club has a pool party for pool members only. Members are allowed to bring a small number of guests to the club.
